Ameer Mufleh

Asalamu alaikum, my name is Ameer Mufleh. I am a young working professional that grew up in the South Florida Muslim community with ICOSF as my home masjid.

I served on the Board of Directors for ICOSF for two years as the Secretary and facilitated most of the meetings for the first year. During this time, I created some bonds amongst the youth and community members. In some ways I served as a bridge for community members to the Board. I am currently studying Public Administration and hope to use this education to benefit the ICOSF community and the Muslims at large. My work experience is mostly as an engineer.

The tasks I have the greatest strength in would be office and administrative ones. I can help organize and keep track of things. I also served as a contact for the youth to the Board and enjoyed it. Members seem to be comfortable approaching me with issues and this helps get complaints to the Board. My experience working in corporate America also helps me give a different perspective in Board meetings.

My goal with re-joining the Board is to serve the community as a familiar face, representing the youth of our community, and to help add to the perspectives in the Board meetings. Specifically, I hope to help more in the office and with administrative tasks to help the Board’s efficiency. As a member of the youth, I will continue interfacing with youth members and be their voice to the Board.

Wasalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
