Bilal Amodu
I have lived in Broward County Florida for over 20 years and have witnessed the South Florida Muslim community expand and blossom significantly during that time. I currently hold a Masters’ degree in Composition, Rhetoric and Digital Media from Nova Southeastern University and have experience serving nonprofit organizations in leadership capacities, particularly in the areas of Marketing and Human Resources.
I am seeking this position since I am convinced of that our South Florida Muslim community can be an infinite source of goodness for the sake of Islam and for all of humanity. The true value of what we have to build lies not only in how long we can preserve our heritage, but how we can use it to support, encourage, include and empower others in the tradition of our beloved Prophet (S.A.W). My initial priority as a board member would be to listen to the community, to ensure all members feel heard, understood and represented, and to reduce the distance between the leadership and community by helping to establish a clear and accessible line of communication.
More than anything, I intend my role on the Board to be one of service to the Ummah, and the specific needs of the South Florida Muslim community.
May Allah Bless and Reward All of you for your involvement in this effort.
