I was looking for an Islamic Center to get my nikah done. I searched all around the area and found that Islamic Center of South Florida offers nikah with an imam. I am so happy I found them!

I wouldn't have been able to get married without the help of the Islamic Center of South Florida. My family is not very observant (to put it mildly) and I didn't really know where to turn. Our imam performed a beautiful nikah ceremony for me and my husband and everything was just perfect.

Process/Requirement for a Nikah Ceremony?
Application
Anyone can offer to start the Nikah process, whether they’re a woman or man. If you’re thinking of getting married, you can apply. There’s no need to wait for someone to propose to you.
Accept
You don’t have to say “yes” right away, but accept any suggestions that come your way. Between application and approval, you can meet with your partner as often as you like, as long as you do it in public or in close proximity to a chaperone.
Witnesses
Two male witnesses are needed to approve of your marriage. They need to be able to say that both the bride and groom agreed to get married of their own free will, without any coercion from family or anyone else.
Mahr
The Mahr is a mandatory gift from the groom to the bride. It can be anything she wants, such as money, property, or even travel arrangements. The bride is encouraged to be fair and take her husband’s income into account when making her decision.
Marriage is also a symbol of a man’s responsibility to take care of his wife.
Nikah
Nikah is a special ceremony that couples can perform once they meet all the requirements. The newlyweds say the words “qubool” or “I accept” she repeats three times. The couple and her two male witnesses then sign the contract, which is signed by the Imam.
